Ethio telecom and Hybrid Designs have partnered to utilize telebirr digital payment system with a view to integrating telecom and telebirr services with RIDE transport service.
The two companies signed an agreement that will enable RIDE transport service providers to collect monthly ethio telecom and utility bill payments, register new telebirr customers, upgrade telebirr customer levels, provide cash in and cash out services, and sell airtime and package services. In addition, the drivers of RIDE will be engaged in selling new SIM cards and delivering replacement SIM cards to customers and provide a variety of other services of Ethio telecom. RIDE transport service charges can also be paid using telebirr.
