Awramba Times (Addis Ababa) – Ato Bereket Simon, policy study and research advisor to the PM and chairperson of the board of directors of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), laid a corner stone for the construction of CBE’s new headquarter in the capital Addis Ababa on Saturday.
The 47-storey building, which will be built on 147,000 square meters of land at a cost of 166.5 million USD, is expected to be finalized within four years period.
CBE has been providing loans for government mega projects and investors during the first phase of the nation’s Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP), said Bereket Simon on the occasion. “This new headquarter will help the bank’s overall effort to accelerate the development of the country in the second phase of our GTP” he added.
