Awramba Times (Addis Ababa) – The National Intelligence and Security Service along with Federal counter-terrorism taskforce has captured a group of armed mercenaries in a jungle at the southern tip of the country while conspiring to launch a terrorist attack.

The task force had the information over the planned attack before the armed mercenaries depart from Eritrea. Accordingly they were captured in a surprise military operation carried out by security forces and captured most of the terrorists with their armaments and two members of the armed group who tried to escape were also killed.
The terrorists whose travel documents shows to have been trained and prepared by the Eritrean regime, first travelled to Uganda, and they made their way to Kenya before they arrived at their final destination.

Senbeto Geneti Guteta made his debut in the Buffalo marathon a winning one Sunday. The 23-year-old from Ethiopia crossed the finish line in a time of 2 hours, 22 minutes and 50 seconds to take home the $2,000 winner’s check in the 16th annual event.
